Founder and Director, Jess is officially off on maternity leave today, November 10th, as she prepares to welcome a new addition to her family. 👶

As many of you know, Jess founded Sole Focus Podiatry in 2016 after years of experience across Brisbane and Canberra. With a special interest in regenerative medicine, ingrown toenail surgery, children’s podiatry, and custom orthotics, she’s built a reputation for expert care, compassion, and innovation.

We can't wait to welcome her back in clinic June 2026.

Meet Sophie ✨

Sophie is our warm and welcoming receptionist who always goes above and beyond to make our patients feel comfortable and cared for. She's been back with us for just over 12 months after welcoming her second boy.

Beyond the clinic, Sophie spends her winter weekends at football with her boys, and in summer, she enjoys spontaneous trips to the beach. In her downtime, she enjoys a coffee and reading a book.

Meet Carmel ✨

Carmel’s journey into podiatry began with her own childhood experiences visiting a podiatrist, later strengthened by her time working in nursing homes. This fostered a deep desire within her to help people achieve better foot health and led her to study at the University of Newcastle, NSW.

Recently relocated from Newcastle, Carmel brings valuable private practice experience. She’s known for her kind, caring nature and is a joy to work with and something her patients truly appreciate.

Carmel has a broad range of professional skills, from managing skin and nail conditions to treating and preventing ingrown toenails and performing nail surgeries.

Beyond the clinic, Carmel loves baking in the kitchen and spending time outdoors, often exploring scenic lookouts and bushwalking with her fiancé.
