Special mention to Norman, proudly wearing his official hat — a reminder of his time serving as a Warrant Officer in the Australian Army.
The Ceremony brought back many fond, emotional, and meaningful memories for our residents.

More Melbourne Cup festivities at Torbay.... residents enjoyed a delicious lunch (did someone say morton bay bugs 😋😋😋yum!!) There was lots of laughs & high fashion! Our lovely staff, residents & volunteers strutted their stuff on the catwalk !! We're pretty sure the fashions on the field stole the show from the horses 😍

What a fabulous day we had yesterday for our Melbourne Cup celebrations. Residents enjoyed a delicious chicken & vegetable lunch followed by the real winner of the day... the yummy chocolate mousse 😋
We had plenty of laughs with our Melbourne Cup trivia, some friendly competition in the sweeps & our best dressed went to Michelle,who looked absolutely race-day ready!
A special mention to Andrew & Ken who were a little too enthusiastic with the horse whip, we had to confiscate it before they started their own race 🤣 Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun...it truly was the race that stopped the Village 🥂🐎

Giddy up.... we're getting ready for the big race tomorrow at TC ...

😂🐴 Well folks, it’s shaping up to be a thrilling race between our two champions!

🏇 Steel Whisper (the dashing grey) — cool under pressure, known for his lightning starts and silky mane that flutters dramatically in the breeze. Don’t be fooled by that calm expression — he’s a tactical genius on the track and never misses his mark.

🐎 Cinnamon Comet (the chestnut charmer) — a crowd favourite with a mischievous streak! Famous for stealing extra carrots in the stables and charming the fillies with that perfectly tousled mane. When he’s not galloping for glory, he’s posing for selfies and signing hoofographs.

it’s anyone’s race tomorrow! 🏆😉

Big thank you to Melissa for crotcheting these 2 gorgeous horses who i'm sure will be very popular tomorrow 💙
