We are excited to pop up what our weekly offerings are for term 1, 2026. Bookings will open January 5th, to give us all a little respite financially from Christmas, but enough time to know what you are doing for term 1!
We have a few changes this term which I am a little nervous, excited, tentative and curious about.
We have some epic projects for our home school garden club planned! A chicken mud cob house. Both Monday and Thursday’s group will be working on this project collaboratively.
Our Foodie Nature Play will be slightly morphing a little bit. We have always had a focus on food but there will be some zhoosh in that space. So if you have a little one “learning” about food (or a little fussy), our gentle approach might support you as a family. Mandy has worked with children and families with food for over 13 years.
We will also aim for three distinct themes over the term or go a little deeper. And, we are reducing our numbers. So if this is something you are interested in, make sure you chat with your friends about what dates you’d like to come to. Of course there is still our rhythm of oral puppetry story telling, crafts/arts, gardening and free play.
Our monthly community open days will start in February. Dates to be released in the new year.

Are you ready to cook, play and sing?
Every session at the garden involves some kind of food preparation. But these school holidays we are stepping it up a notch. Like our incursions into schools and OOSHs.

⏰ UPDATE : Slightly earlier start due to the heat of the day!
We are super dooper excited to invite you along to our Home School Mini Christmas market on Saturday December 6th, in collaboration with

Where: .golden.grove and
Time: 9:00 to 10:30am

The children of our Monday and Thursday garden clubs have been busy creating arts and crafts, magic items, seedlings, cupcakes and sweeties, jewellery and wondrous delights.
There will be face painting, giant bubble blowing, a children’s choir, acro shows and so much more.
The gardens of both SWAMP and The Golden Grove will be open to peruse. Members of SWAMP will be on point to chat about their incredible work and lots of free play for kiddies too.
Oh we can’t wait to see you all!
A huge thank you to Leila , a talented artist in our groups, who we have known for almost 4 years now! Leila created this multimedia marketing tile for us using pencil and online mediums. Unbelievable. One to watch for sure. You can follow along with her artistic endeavours .art She just won an art award today too! 🌸💜

What a week thus far.
Yoghurt faces.
Sardines.
Baby chicks.
Compost experiments.
Monarch caterpillars named Molly.
And over a hundred books!!!!

I have been reminded many times this month of the importance of creating spaces for children and their families, in particular the Mamas.
I have cried watching Borboleta tend to the chicks. Stretching her legs from sitting for hours. Desperately eating in 15 minute bursts.
And then when those eggs hatched, she was incredible. Listening to her different clucks to teach the chickens to eat, drink, come back, find her, hide from prey.
Watching the chicks warm in her feathers and wings, peering out. Climbing on her. Jumping on her.
So much love for this opportunity to experience a chicken raise their young.
The chicks will be visiting playgroup this Tuesday and Wednesday. We’d love to see you. 🐥 💛

It has been a glorious few days in the garden where we have experience the whole butterfly 🦋 / cabbage moth! life cycle on our broccoli plants 🥦.
Today at our Thursday home school garden club, we shared this song, and I’d love to share it with you too. A perfect way to learn the life cycle 🌀
