🐬 Weekend Adventurers on the Water! 🌊

This weekend, our H@H crew set sail from Port Macquarie with Port AdVenture Cruises for a dolphin spotting adventure — and what a magical trip it was!

The sun was shining, the dolphins were playful, and the smiles were nonstop. From the moment we boarded, the team made us feel welcome and excited to explore the beautiful Hastings River.

Big thanks to Port AdVenture Cruises for making this experience so memorable — we loved every splash, wave, and fin sighting!

Our Ready Set Grow group had an incredible visit to Marine Rescue Forster Tuncurry 🚤🌊

The volunteers welcomed us with so much enthusiasm and gave us a real behind‑the‑scenes look at how they keep our local waterways safe. From exploring the rescue vessels to learning how they respond to emergencies, the participants were fully engaged and loved every moment 🙌

A huge thank you to the Forster Tuncurry team for sharing their time, knowledge, and passion with us. Experiences like this help our group grow in confidence, connection, and understanding of the amazing work happening in our community 💙

🌟 Some people don’t just talk about community — they show up for it. Wade Forster is auctioning off his own jacket and guitar to help support Ronald McDonald House, and it’s a beautiful reminder of the kind of hearts that make this world brighter.

🌿 Jamie and Steven’s Morning Outing 🌿

On the weekend, Jamie and Steven were transported to meet their pop, Mark, at the Vinnies Earn & Return Centre where Mark works. Mark kindly provided a tour of the site and explained how the recycling process operates. As the environment was quite noisy at times, Jamie used headphones to stay comfortable while still engaging in the experience.

After the visit, the support worker drove Jamie and Steven to the Dubbo Botanical Gardens for a peaceful morning walk. They moved through the gardens at a relaxed pace, taking their time to observe the different animals, plants, and flowers.

A lovely combination of learning, connection, and calm moments in nature. 🌼

🥄 “Stirring Up Independence with Kerrie!” 🥄

Kerrie has been joining us in the kitchen for a little while now, and this week she took on lasagna — and did such a fantastic job. Her confidence is growing each session, and it’s been wonderful to see her building her independent living skills through cooking.

These adventures are all about learning at your own pace, trying new things, and celebrating every win along the way. Kerrie is really finding her stride. 🫶

🎄 There’s something truly special about supported living…

On the weekend, housemates enjoyed an early Christmas lunch together, and it was a beautiful reminder of what supported living is all about. Shared meals, laughter around the table, and those little festive moments help turn a house into a home.

Supported living isn’t just about independence — it’s about connection. It’s about having people to celebrate with, to share traditions with, and to create memories alongside. Watching everyone come together for an early Christmas lunch showed just how meaningful these everyday moments can be.

☀️ With the warmer weather rolling in, our Humpday Adventurers have been out exploring new places to cool off! 💦

From shady riversides to local pools and splash‑friendly spots, our crew has been making the most of the sunshine while staying active, safe, and connected. Swimming and water play aren’t just refreshing — they help build confidence, coordination, and social connection. And when you add friends into the mix, every dip becomes a moment of laughter, teamwork, and pure mid‑week joy.
