💛 March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛

Endometriosis affects approximately 1 in 9 Australian women and people assigned female at birth by the age of 44. Despite how common it is, many people experience symptoms for years before receiving a diagnosis.

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, which can lead to symptoms such as:
• Painful periods
• Chronic pelvic pain
• Pain during or after s*x
• Fatigue
• Fertility challenges
• Bowel or bladder discomfort

Awareness, education and early conversations about symptoms can help people access the support and care they need sooner.
