On the 28th, Maddy finishes up at Your Choice Matters.
That is not easy to write.
Three years ago she started with us as a support worker. Since then she moved into rostering coordination, then operations assistant, and most recently into her role as Client Relationships Officer. None of that was handed to her. It came from trust, work ethic, and the way she connects with people.
The titles matter. But what matters more is the impact.
If you have ever dealt with Maddy, you already know. You hang up the phone feeling better than when you picked it up. Families felt heard. Staff felt supported. Participants felt safe. She has a way of sitting in difficult conversations without overcomplicating things.
She has helped a lot of families through challenging periods. She has supported staff behind the scenes without needing recognition. She has taken responsibility when things were heavy. And she has grown with the company while helping shape the standard of care we expect at YCM.
On a personal level, I am proud of her. I have watched her trust herself, step into uncomfortable roles, and keep lifting her standard.
Maddy, thank you for what you have given this company. The care. The honesty. The effort. You leave this place better than you found it.
