Have you fallen asleep soon after drinking alcohol? 🥱😴
Although it might make you feel drowsy, alcohol disrupts your sleep cycle and interferes with your rapid-eye movement (REM) sleep.
The REM sleep stage is when you'll often dream. When alcohol is in your system, it can affect your REM sleep and may cause nightmares.
It is best to avoid alcohol for at least 4 hours before bedtime for a better night's sleep. 💤
Try to limit your consumption to no more than 4 standard drinks on any one day, and no more than 10 in any given week.
