Avoidance isn’t failure — it’s information.
It’s your nervous system saying, “this feels too much right now.”

Even naming that in therapy is progress. You don’t have to unpack everything at once; awareness alone can soften its grip.

Therapy isn’t about forcing yourself to dive in — it’s about noticing what’s hard and learning to sit with it safely.

Sometimes, saying “I’m avoiding this” is exactly where the work begins!!

Burnt out? Sometimes another early night isn’t the answer 😂

Not every stress fix is the slow, ‘get in your body’ type stuff. Sometimes it’s just being silly, laughing, and letting go a little.

Fun is such an underrated way to reset your nervous system — it lifts your mood, tells your brain you’re safe, and honestly works better than lying horizontal with rain sounds on repeat 🌧️😂

Social media has a way of making it seem like everyone else is ticking off life milestones — engagements, weddings, babies…

But here’s the thing: your life isn’t on pause until those things happen. You’re doing big, brave, and beautiful things right now. Things worth celebrating.

Starting therapy. Moving to a new city. Leaving a job that wasn’t right for you. Saying yes to something scary. Reconnecting with yourself. Asking for help.

You don’t have to wait for a “ring or a baby” moment to be proud of yourself...

As the year comes to a close, I just want to say a big thank you to all my clients and everyone who has supported me this year. It’s such a privilege to walk alongside people during their hardest and most vulnerable moments—I truly love being a counsellor and the connections that come with this work.

The holidays are a beautiful time for many, but they can also be incredibly lonely for others. Let’s remember to be kind, patient, and understanding—sometimes the smallest gesture can mean the world to someone.

Wishing you all a safe and gentle Christmas. I’ll be back in January and can’t wait to continue this journey with you all in 2025.
