๐Ÿง ๐™’๐™๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™ž๐™จ ๐™Ž๐™˜๐™ž๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™˜๐™–? Nerve pain in the back, buttock, leg or foot that is caused by irritation and/or compression of the sciatic nerve. This irritation can be caused at a number of levels, however it is most prominent where the nerves exit at the vertebrae or through the hips.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ ๐™ƒ๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™ž๐™จ ๐™ž๐™ฉ ๐™ข๐™–๐™ฃ๐™–๐™œ๐™š๐™™? Sciatica is usually managed conservatively with a combination of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology and tends to get better within a few months, although in some cases surgical intervention is eventually required.

๐Ÿค” ๐™’๐™๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™ž๐™จ ๐™‰๐™š๐™ง๐™ซ๐™š ๐™๐™ก๐™ค๐™จ๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ? A technique used to help relieve pressure from the nerves and get them moving more freely. They are often used to reduce pain and increase range of motion. When it comes to prescription, start small. Overdoing nerve flossing may irritate the nerve and subsequently cause an increase in discomfort. Start with 2x10 per day and increase as tolerated.

145,000 Australians are diagnosed with cancer every year and this August, ๐ŸŒผ the Cancer Council's Daffodil Appeal is looking for help to raise funds for their brightest and best cancer researchers.

๐Ÿ˜ We're reminiscing about the awesome fund raising workout event that our team hosted in conjunction with Katie Lolas (Also known as Lady Lolas) earlier this year. The event raised $1200 toward Katies $10K target ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ It also gave us an opportunity to shine a light on the wonderful work that the Cancer Council do day in, day out, while acting as a reminder of the health benefits associated with staying active, including:

Core training can happen at any point in your workout. Where you put it depends on your goal:
