A brilliant 6 weeks with this incredible group in Shepparton. We shared laughter, tears and of course enormous amounts of support for each other. Thank you to everyone who joined us, people with disabilities and chronic health conditions, disability support workers and allied health professionals. I look forward to seeing how the support continues on across the community. Thanks for having us.

It’s Invisible Disabilities Week (19–25 October)! 💛

Did you know that around 80–85% of people with disability have one that isn’t visible?

These include neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health, and chronic conditions that aren’t always immediately apparent.

FPDN stands strong in advocating for the rights, voices, and lived experiences of our mob with disability — both visible and invisible.

Not all disabilities are visible — but a little understanding, cultural respect, and kindness can go a long way in making everyone feel seen, supported, and valued.

We’ll help you find great local support, figure out funding, connect with others living with disability, and understand the challenges disability can bring.

Everything from planning for emergencies through to who can help you pay for it all. Our workshops will answer all your questions.

Starting in Shepparton on Friday the 17th of October, our free workshops will be facilitated by quadruple amputee, Mandy McCracken. Proudly supported by Greater Shepparton Council.
