Feeling the winter blues? 🌧️ Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a recurring form of depression that typically hits during the colder months, affecting mood, sleep, and energy levels. But there’s good news! Natural lifestyle options can significantly alleviate these symptoms. 🌞

Natural ways to prevent and manage SAD:

Diet: Embrace a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid heavy, sugary foods that can cause energy crashes. (Melrose, 2015)🍎

Yoga: Incorporating yoga into your routine can help regulate circadian rhythms and reduce stress. A German study highlighted yoga as a valuable preventive measure for SAD (Nussbaumer-Streit et al., 2017). 🧘‍♀️

Sunlight: Spend time outdoors to boost Vitamin D levels and improve mood. Light therapy, such as using a lightbox for 30-120 minutes daily, can also be beneficial. (Magnusson & Boivin, 2003)☀️
