We are delighted to welcome Vikki to our Allied Health team as a Physiotherapist. Vikki has experience working with participants of all ages with neurological and neuromuscular conditions. During her studies, Vikki volunteered as a physiotherapy interventionist for a research project working with participants aged 2-5 years with cerebral palsy at the Queensland Children's Hospital. It was then when Vikki realised her passion for paediatric physiotherapy and neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

In 2022, she graduated amongst the top 5% of students across the university. With her knowledge and experience, Vikki is excited to join the team and would love to meet you. Thank you very much to everyone who responded to our annual Client Survey. We are glad that the majority of respondents were happy with our services. You also told us that you appreciate having access to an organisation that understands what it is like to live with a neuromuscular condition and provides services tailored specifically to the needs of this community.

We really value your feedback, both good and bad, to help us improve our services and guide our direction. Even though the survey is now closed, we encourage you to provide your feedback at any time – you can access our feedback form on our website (www.mdqld.org.au/feedback-and-complaints), or just let us know by phone or email.

If you have a question for our Infoline call us Freecall: 1800 676 364 or email infoline@mdqld.org.au

A competitive nature often leads people to sports and for some of our clients, that sport is powerchair football! We understand the necessity of having the correct equipment to play your sport at a competitive level. We also know that there may be people on your team who do not have a neuromuscular condition and have had trouble getting a Strike Force chair. Our physiotherapists have the expertise to prescribe and apply for Strike Force wheelchairs through NDIS funding, so we are opening up this service to anyone regardless of their condition.

If you know someone who needs help to apply for a Strike Force chair, get them to contact Muscular Dystrophy Queensland on 3243 9700, email info@mdqld.org.au or make an enquiry on our website.

If you would like to give powerchair football a go, get in touch with the Queensland Powerchair Football Association.

Check out our shiny new wheels! 👀✨ We all get a little bit excited when new equipment arrives at the office.

This is a Rifton Pacer Walker which will help children move and explore their environment in a safe and age-appropriate way. This is part of our trial equipment and if necessary, we can assist your child to get their own walker through their NDIS plan.

Muscular Dystrophy Queensland provides allied health services to people with neuromuscular conditions throughout the life span. Interventions are based on assessment, diagnosis and prognosis and are targeted to assist clients to meet their NDIS and therapy goals. For more information call our Infoline 1800 676 364 or email info@mdqld.org.au
