Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common virus that can lead to severe illness in older adults. It can also worsen existing respiratory conditions like asthma and COPD.

From 15 May 2026, RSV vaccination will be available at Narwee Pharmacy FREE for:
➡️ People aged 75 years and over
➡️ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over

People aged 60-74, and people aged 50-59 with medical conditions increasing their risk of serious illness due to RSV (including severe asthma), may also get RSV vaccination privately.

Vaccination is an effective way to reduce the risk of serious respiratory illness and complications this winter. Make sure you also practice good hygiene (like handwashing) and have regular reviews with your doctor.
