Goolburri Aboriginal Health Advancement Co Ltd. Founded in Toowoomba in the early 1990s, Goolburri was established in response to a growing need for accessible, culturally safe health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Ltd is an organisation dedicated to advancing the health and wellbeing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Founded with the goal of addressing the health disparities faced by Aboriginal Australians, Goolburri focuses on providing culturally appropriate healthcare services, advocacy, and community development programs. Goolburri works collaboratively with various stakeholders, including government agencies, not-for-profit organisations, and community leaders, to advocate for policies and initiatives that support the health and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We aim to ensure that Aboriginal Families voices are heard and that policies are developed in a way that respects and incorporates cultural values and traditions. We're looking for a HIPPY Tutor to join our team in Warwick! Supporting families with young children through the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY).

This rewarding role supports parents as their child's first teacher, helping build confidence, school readiness, and a lifelong love of learning in children aged 3 to 4 years.

👉 About the role
• Part-time (20 hours per week)
• Monday - Thursday
• Deliver the HIPPY program to up to possible 15 families
• Fun, flexible, community-based work

👉 We're looking for someone who
• Is organised and reliable
• Enjoys working with families and children
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Has (or is willing to obtain) a Blue Card
• Holds a current Driver’s Licence
• Has cultural competency (highly desirable)

What a deadly turnout last week at our Back to School events across West Queensland!

A huge thank you to all the community members who came out in Charleville, Roma, Chinchilla, Dalby and Toowoomba. The weather was shining, faces were smiling, fresh new cuts all round, and plenty of happy kids ready to kick off the school year. We love seeing community come together like this.

Are you looking for a free early learning program to support your child's development at home?

The Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) is a two-year, home-based program designed to help families prepare their children for school - starting right at home!

Why join HIPPY?
✅ FREE program funded by the Department of Social Services
✅ Supports parents as their child's first teacher
✅ Fun, interactive learning activities to enjoy together
✅ Builds confidence and supports school readiness

Who is eligible?
Children turning three (3) years old between 1st July 2025 and 30th June 2026.
