In South East Asian countries, there are significant workplace cultural barriers employees face when addressing their mental health. The article offers an eye-opening statistic that “nearly 90% of Singaporean workers say they would avoid seeking mental health support at work for fear of being judged”.

Shifting workplace culture starts from the top down. The article emphasises the vital importance of training leaders through programs like Mental Health First Aid, ensuring they are properly equipped to provide employees meaningful support.
