Are selfies causing a head lice epidemic? 9 News Perth have run this as a serious news story, but Dr Richard Po***ck from Harvard School of Public Health states this is a "marketing ploy, pure and simple" and the bigger problem is "businesses charging scared parents big bucks". It's great to see that the majority of parents responding to the story on Facebook are treating the story with a good degree of scepticism. However, there are still comments on the post that cast blame on so called "uncaring parents" and perpetuate the myth that head lice are related to bad hygiene.
