From around age 30, we naturally begin to lose muscle mass, strength, and function, a process known as Sarcopenia. After 50, that loss accelerates to around 1–2% of muscle mass every year, with strength declining even faster as the decades progress.

This isn't just about how you feel in the gym. Sarcopenia directly impacts your ability to maintain independence, prevent falls, and manage chronic conditions as you age.

At 58, Sue was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Six years of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation followed.

"I was pretty damaged," she says. "But I've always been at gym — so I bounced back pretty quickly."

Our in-house allied health clinic offers the expertise of Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Dietitians.

Our Exercise Physiologists can help improve:

Heart health, diabetes, falls prevention, pre- and post-operative care, muscular and skeletal rehabilitation, osteoarthritis, hip and knee replacement, respiratory, orthopaedic, as well as neurological training to assist with Alzheimer’s prevention.
