Katie recently completed a professional development course about the osteopathic role in neurodiversity in children. This was facilitated by Luisa Miraglia, a paediatric Osteopath from Italy. This was a long day full of learning and discussion on up-to-date neurophysiological insights adapted to osteopathic care and supported with real cases to give practical treatment strategies for sensory-motor, autonomic, and craniosacral dysfunctions. Katie has already started to integrate some of the learning into her practice.

Osteopaths focus on your neuro-musculoskeletal system - the bones, muscles, nerves and other tissues that support your body and control its movements. They know how parts of your body should work together and the impact if they do not.
People attend an osteopath when they experince long term (chronic) and short term (acute) problems, like weight bearing issues.
Just 16 days until Christmas! It's a busy time of year

Hey Dylan, it was great to welcome you recently for your work experience. Dylan is a local Year 10 student who completed his work experience week with us. Dylan read relevant anatomy texts, had an osteopathic treatment, observed and met patients (with their consent) and helped us with the laundry!!
Thanks to the team at Your Body Osteopathy for helping a student in our local community.
Thanks to our lovely patients for making him feel welcome. We hope you had a great week Dylan!

FROM THE BLOG: From University to Private Practice – My Experience So Far
Transitioning from university into private practice has been an incredible experience.
One of the things I’ve loved most about private practice is the sheer variety of patients I’ve had the chance to see. Each day brings new faces, stories, and challenges, and that diversity has been invaluable in building my confidence and clinical skills. Each time I leave the clinic I feel like I’ve grown as a practitioner.
Did you know we are open 8am until 8pm on Wednesdays?
