MTG Contracting Pty Ltd has provided Service, Maintenance & Repairs to mobile equipment to the majority of Quarries, Masonry, Asphalt and Concrete Plants for Boral in South East Queensland. Since its inception in 1994 MTG Contracting Pty Ltd have the qualifications, expertise and necessary equipment to service and maintain all makes and models of machinery. MTG Contracting Pty Ltd offers a complete service to all aspects of the site’s requirements from the face loader to a pit water pump. Whatever is asked of us we can deliver to best of our ability and to the satisfaction of the site, cost effectively and when the site requires. We service the machinery above the OEM Standards and to the guidelines of the Boral preventative maintenance manual. These results are seen in the availability of the machines and the component hours achieved on the machines we service. The fact that we cut filters, inspect screens, check and fit magnetic plugs to differentials and final drives gives us the ability to forecast with oil sampling components life expectancy and to avoid major failures where possible. The majority of our staff has worked for MTG between 1 and 10 years. All staff members are required to undertake an induction process. MTG Contracting Pty Ltd uses qualified diesel fitters/servicemen to carry out the services. The ability to see things whilst doing the service has been our forte. We don’t just change the oils & filters. We carry out a complete service using genuine parts, a safety inspection and OEM brake tests at each of our services. We fill out the preventative maintenance manuals for the machines at the Quarries. These are inspected at the audits by the Mines Department. MTG Contracting’s reputation and practices are recognised by the Mines Department and are held highly. I also assisted when all the sites were being audited on brake testing and methods of recording. We comply with all the Health Safety and Environmental concerns of all sites and operate strictly between the guidelines of the different operations. We recently have worked with the sites in developing the lean process and have implemented the process with the respective sites effectively. Safety training meetings are held once a month by Dean MacNamara, an independent consultant. All of our staff & subcontract diesel fitters hold a current First Aid Certificate. All staff & subcontract diesel fitters hold trade licences & supplementary certificates where applicable and are qualified to perform all work designated to them by MTG. Staff are kept up to date with the latest technologies and updates via handouts, manuals & ‘on the job’ training. MTG has an extensive library of machinery & parts manuals / Caterpillar program licences and Cummins inline licences available to all staff to assist them in their day to day duties. We have extensive tooling and equipment to carry out repairs to all makes & models. Our workshop facility at Burleigh is fully equipped for carrying out all component rebuilds & repairs.
