We’ll connect you with a caring, familiar face and help keep things just the way your loved one likes them.

Read what the latest fitness report says about staying active as we age!

This new fitness trend report shows strong momentum for older-adult programs.

Here are the key takeaways:

- Older-adult fitness keeps trending: With rare exceptions, it’s been Top 10 for years; in the 2026 survey, it ranked highest among 65+ respondents.

- Adults 65+ visit gyms and studios more often than any other age group.

- Programs framed as low-intensity and functional draw more people and focus on strength, balance and mobility.

Carer burnout is real - especially over the holidays

Holidays can wipe you out. You’re trying to host lunch for twelve, sort the airport pickup, remember the meds, load the wheelchair in the car - and still be the steady person everyone leans on. No wonder it feels heavy.

Let us share some of the load: short breaks (real respite), extra hands for community outings, flexible in-home support, and a quick plan so the day doesn’t rest on you.

If that sounds good, say the word. We’ll work around your week. DM us to learn more about how we can help you now, or call us on 0417 186 232.

(And if you’re reading this for a friend, tag them so they don’t have to ask.)

Not quite ready for care?

Let’s take some easy steps together and set up a bit of backup for peace of mind. Sometimes having a trusted friend, neighbour, or family member on standby can really make all the difference.

With your permission, they can:
- Help organise your assessments (My Aged Care/NDIS)
- Keep an eye on things like meal codes, and help with light supports (meals, cleaning, ironing, groceries)
- Be there quickly if you’re not feeling well or have a fall
- Talk to the services for you, so you don’t have to stress.

We’ll set everything up at your own pace - no rush! Give us a call on 0417 186 232 and we’ll do this together.

Today is International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD)

Inclusion means we see people, celebrate what they achieve, and keep their pride at the centre. You’ll notice it in accessible homes, real choice and control, and our local care teams who listen before they act.

Our favourite part is our community here at HomeCaring Vermont. It's our clients, families, and support workers all pitching in to make inclusion real where we live!

As Vermont adjusts to the new Support at Home program, we're reminded why local, community-based care matters so much.

During times of change, having a care provider who:
🏘️ Lives and works in Vermont
👥 Knows the local healthcare network
🤝 Understands community resources
💙 Has established relationships in the area
📞 Is easily reachable when you need them..makes all the difference.
