🔥 Welcoming Firefighter Aiden Back to Station 481 Walcha 🔥

Some people step up once.
Others step up again.

This week, Fire & Rescue NSW Station 481 Walcha is incredibly proud to welcome Firefighter Aiden back into the crew after more than five years away from the station. Aiden served previously as an On-Call Firefighter, took time away for life, work and family, and has now chosen to return — to contribute, to serve, and to stand beside his community once more.

That is commitment.
That is character.
That is Walcha.

Aiden is a father of four, well known to the community, and manages the Waste Transfer Facility here in Walcha . His return to Fire & Rescue brings a wealth of experience along with a strong commitment to physical fitness, mental wellbeing and community service. We are stronger as a station — and as a town — with him back on the crew.

Let this be inspiration to others:

You can pause.
You can return.
You can always choose to show up again.

Our station thrives when locals step forward — and Aiden has done exactly that. We are delighted to count him once more among our ranks and look forward to the energy and dedication he brings to the watch.

To the families, friends, and loved ones of those injured — the entire Innertia community sends our deepest condolences and support.

A huge thank you to the first responders, medical teams, volunteers, and every person who stepped in to help. Moments like this remind us how strong regional communities truly are, and how much we rely on each other when things go wrong.

Happy Monday everyone!

Submissions are now open to join in on One Foot Forward challenge.
This year I'm putting myself through my paces (pun intended) through the month of October BY CLIMBING 2,000 FLOORS ON THE STAIRMASTER!
2,000 is my target, but when I hit it (NOT 'IF' I HIT IT!) I'll be continuing through to see how many floors I can conquer 🤘
