Santa Gertrudis Australia is teaming up with Bartholomew & Co Auctioneers to hold a Santa Gertrudis Weight Gain and Carcase Competition.

The event gives producers of Santa Gertrudis and Santa infused cattle the opportunity to benchmark their animals in a commercial environment across 70 day and 100 day programs at Freestone Feedlot, Warwick, Qld.

Santa Gertrudis Australia is proud to sponsor the Young Beef Producers Forum in Roma today and tomorrow.

Our site this year was designed and developed by the young people of our breed, with former Kleberg Scholarship winners Lachie Martin and Mia Doering leading the charge at the event while this year’s scholar and breed ambassador, Eleni Fogden is overseas.

This morning Lachie and Mia were joined by other Santa young folk, all proudly representing our breed, from left: Abbey Franz, John Delaforce, Lachie and Mia, Robyn Sawtell and Georgia Perkins.

So proud to be able to shine a spotlight on a very important and relevant issue in memory of a wonderful human being and dear friend

💙 Today at the Heartland Sale, our community came together in a very special way.

In honour of our dear friend and passionate breeder, Sharon Seawright, Lot 68 (Beefwood Tuscany T15) was generously donated by Brett & Ashlee White of Beefwood. Sharon’s husband, Peter Seawright, purchased the heifer, with an extra $1,500 kindly contributed by PJH Livestock & Property, bringing the grand total of the donation to $10,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service Mental Health Unit.

This incredible gesture is a fitting tribute to Sharon’s legacy. 💙🐂
