Introducing the New Space! From tomorrow is located downstairs with entry through the garage door. No more stairs, more space, barre/ladder, reformer and more! Very exciting. Thanks to athletic base for accommodating the bigger space, my husband Dustin for nailing everything up, and Nick and Ashleigh for their help today. We’re so excited to see you here from next week. I’m also very excited to be joining the team and treat out of this space. Thank you to all my patients and dance teachers for your word of mouth referrals. This is possible thanks to your support. 🙏❤️

A huge thank you to Miss Melissa for everything she has poured into our dancers and into JDQ. Your beautiful technique, patience, passion and love for ballet have shaped so many dancers into who they are today.

While you won’t be with us regularly in 2026, we are so grateful that JDQ will still get to experience your magic through occasional classes, workshops and private lessons. Once a JDQ teacher… always a JDQ teacher. 🩷

Thank you for the countless hours, the corrections, the smiles, the encouragement and the belief you’ve given our dancers. You will always be such a special part of our JDQ family, and we can’t wait to have you back in the studio whenever you’re here.

About today on Halloween …. It was fitting to watch the anatomy dissection of the central nervous system from the recent exhibition. Then we created Anatomy ‘art’, just because. But this AM I found this lot in the gardens looking for sticks to incorporate into today’s repertoire 😆. Oooo and they were Disney princesses, can you tell? 👑

Gosh, on a roll today with the article’s. This is true, but please know it applies to professional dancers and at the start of a class. You should sustain prolonged stretches AFTER a day of dance. Years ago I had many dancers injured because they took on this advice and were tight. Growing bodies are different to adult professional dancers.
