Cost of living is high right now, so we have made postnatal appointments free.
If you've had a baby in the past 6 weeks, you can have a midwife visit you at home for a 60-90 minute appointment for free.
We check on the health and wellbeing of both mum and baby.
Some people choose to have midwife appointments instead of the traditional GP checks at 2 and 6 weeks, or instead of going into the maternal Child health nurse.
The continuity of the same person is lovely, not having to leave your home is heaven. And sometimes, it's nice to chat about your birth or postnatal life with someone who gets it.

Private midwifery care isn't as expensive as you might think.
A regular 60 minute antenatal appointment at your home will cost $26.25, after you get back your medicare rebate.
We have both options for individual appointments, or care packages,
so there is something to suit all budgets.
