It has been a wonderfully busy week at our home, filled with festive cheer and joyful Christmas celebrations. The warmth, laughter, and spirit of the season have truly been a delight to behold.

To top it all off, our Choir Group bought joy to all with their beautiful performances.

Today we proudly announced the winners of our Resident Door Decorating Competition, and what a wonderful celebration of creativity it was! The home was filled with festive cheer, with each beautifully decorated door adding warmth, colour, and Christmas spirit throughout our community. 🎄✨

A heartfelt thank you to all residents who participated — your creativity and effort were truly amazing, and every design brought joy to those who passed by. Congratulations to our winners: Norma, Ann, Ken, Janet, and Fred.

A very special thank you also goes to Helen, whose kindness and generosity shone brightly as she supported fellow residents in decorating their doors. What a perfect example of the Christmas spirit in action!

🎄🍬 And the Winner Is… Our Most Festive Nurse Station! 🍬🎄

Today we were delighted to announce the winner of our Most Festive Nurse Station competition! Congratulations to the Dahlia/Eucalyptus nurse station, who took out the top spot with their bright, joyful Candyland theme — it truly brought the magic of the season to life and put smiles on everyone’s faces.

We are also sharing the photos of all the nurse stations, as every area put in an incredible effort and showcased wonderful creativity and festive spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to all staff and residents who contributed their time, ideas, and enthusiasm. Your efforts help make our facility not only a wonderful place to work, but also a warm, vibrant, and beautiful home for those who live here.

Today Warrragul Community Aged Care received a Certificate of Appreciation from TAFE Gippsland in recognition of our support for student placements.

We truly value our partnership with TAFE Gippsland and the opportunity to support students as they integrate into the aged care industry. Providing meaningful placement experiences is essential in developing confident, capable future professionals, and it’s a privilege to be part of their learning journey.

A sincere thank you to TAFE Gippsland for the recognition, and to our dedicated team for their ongoing commitment to mentoring, teaching, and supporting students with professionalism and care. Together, we are helping build a strong and compassionate aged care workforce for the future.

On Tuesday, we celebrated our Resident and Family Christmas Party and what an incredible event it was! The festivities were in full swing with a fairy floss machine, a lively Photo Booth, face painting, giant Jenga, Corn Hole, great music, a slushy machine, ice cream, an entertainer, and an abundance of delicious food.

To top off the Christmas magic, Santa made a special appearance and brought plenty of joy to the day.

A heartfelt thank you to the Drouin West Fire Brigade and to our amazing teams across Wellbeing, Nursing, PCAs, Administration, Maintenance, Management, and the Kitchen. And of course, a big shout-out to Charlie for his fantastic work on the BBQ!

It was a wonderful celebration filled with Christmas joy, laughter, great food, warm company, and a truly festive atmosphere.
