🌿 A Lovely Outing to Drouin Civic Park 🌿
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful bus outing to the beautiful Drouin Civic Park. It was still a lovely day to spend time outdoors and connect with nature.
Once we arrived and found a nice spot, we brought out the flask and shared warm drinks along with something sweet. Moments like these create the perfect opportunity for conversation and reminiscing, which is always a highlight of our outings.
One of our residents shared a special memory with the group, telling us that her husband was responsible for the maintenance of the park for 15 years. She spoke with such pride about his dedication to his work and his love for the gardens. This led to many wonderful conversations about favourite plants, gardens, and the trees we admired around us.
Residents enjoyed an easy walk through the park, taking in the beautiful surroundings – the trees, colourful plants, birds splashing in the water, and children playing nearby. It truly was a feast for the senses while enjoying the sunshine.
Several residents commented on how impressed they were with the beauty of the park, reminding us all that there is so much joy to be found in the simple things. We are fortunate to have so many beautiful parks in and around the Drouin and Warragul area to explore together. 🌳☀️
