It’s been a wonderfully busy week — and we’re not finished yet!

Our residents have been actively engaged in a variety of creative and enriching activities, including arts and crafts and cooking sessions filled with conversation and collaboration.

The Ladies Group also enjoyed a delightful outing for a delicious lunch, sharing great food, warm company, and plenty of laughter along the way.

It’s been a rewarding week full of connection, creativity, and joyful moments together.

Our new Book Club has quickly become a favourite among residents. After collaboratively selecting their novel, the group now gathers each Tuesday to explore the story together. Members are thoroughly engaged—eager to discover what happens next and keen to share their thoughts along the way.

The sessions are filled with lively discussion, shared perspectives, and plenty of enjoyable moments. It has become a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone is encouraged to participate, connect, and celebrate a shared love of books.

Our residents have been wonderfully busy enjoying a vibrant and rewarding range of activities. From getting creative with craft and challenging themselves with puzzles, to heading out for shopping trips and embracing the many benefits of regular walking, there has been something for everyone. Most importantly, these moments have provided valuable opportunities to socialise, share laughter, and strengthen friendships, creating a lively and uplifting atmosphere throughout the home.

She brought the glamour, giggles and a whole lot of heart to the home.
Every moment was framed by our fabulous love heart backdrop created by our talented wellbeing assistant Ali 💞!

Today the Men’s Group enjoyed a wonderful scenic drive to the Glengarry Pub, taking in the countryside before settling in for a delicious lunch and a refreshing cold drink. The afternoon was filled with great conversation, plenty of storytelling, and more than a few hearty laughs. It was a fantastic time of mateship, good food, and shared memories — an outing thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Happy Hour Friday struck all the right notes once again!
Peter the Piano Man delighted our wonderful residents with beautiful piano playing and joyful sing-alongs, taking everyone on a nostalgic musical journey down memory lane. Smiles filled the room, toes tapped along, and a few staff members couldn’t resist joining in for a dance — making the afternoon even more special. Today, Rosemary learned that she has moved into her new home to live and do things that make her happy. During conversations with staff, Rosemary shared her love and passion for painting and expressed concerns that she may not be able to continue this meaningful activity after moving into aged care.

By actively listening to what was important to Rosemary, we were able to support her to re-engage in painting. The joy and delight visible on Rosemary’s face as she painted again was truly heart-warming. It was wonderful to see Rosemary reconnect with something she loves, reinforcing her sense of identity, choice, and wellbeing. Well done, Rosemary.

Today, the Men’s Group explored the world of woodworking. The men discussed and learned about the many uses of wood throughout history, including warmth, cooking, hunting, shelter, and a wide range of everyday purposes. They also enjoyed watching simple pieces of wood being transformed into impressive household items, which sparked interest, conversation, and plenty of enjoyment.
