Well, 2023 is officially behind us and 2024 is ramping up!

The last 6 months have been busy with connecting with participants and service providers and we have made some really great connections.

There are changes ahead for the NDIS space, following the Royal Commision's review, to improve laws, policies, structures and practices, but we will need to wait patiently to see what they are!

Well, the last four weeks have been amazing, since launching Open Doors Support Coordination (ODSC).

I have been overwhelmed by the number of people who have reached out to me and tell me they how happy they are to have ODSC available to them.

I have been busy meeting with many new participants, who I look forward to helping them to implement their plans and work towards achieving their goals.

Also, I have been meeting with some awesome service providers, who are supporting participants to achieve some amazing outcomes.

A common theme from conversations that has come up, is it can be overwhelming to know where to start, when someone needs to apply to become a NDIS participant.

As a helpful resource the NDIS website has a great booklet available called "Applying for the NDIS". You can find the booklet here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/participants

So, if you're at this point on your journey, please contact ODSC and we will support you through the process. Or, if you have a NDIS plan and require a Support Coordinator, we would love to work with you.
