Springbank Medical Centre is an accredited Mixed Billing General Practice located in Burton. The practice offers a range of medical services including Allied Heath and visiting specialists to residents of Burton and surrounding areas. The practice was established in August 2008. In 2012 Springbank Medical Centre was successful in gaining a Practice Infrastructure Grant from the Department of Health and Ageing. This has enabled the practice to more than to add on a kitchenette and four more consulting rooms, almost doubling in size. The practice is located within a Springbank Plaza Shopping Centre and is accessible from either of two entrances, one at the rear of the building and one through the pharmacy next door. The practice is open seven days per week. Springbank Medical Centre currently has five GPs, four receptionists, one Practice Manager, and two Registered Nurses. The clinic also has a Dietician, Podiatrist, two Physiotherapists, Psychologist, Counsellor, onsite Pharmacy, onsite Pathology lab and Audiologist. Special interests of the practice include Skin Cancer, Medical Procedures e.g. Iron Infusions, Skin Biopsies, Aborginal Health, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Mental Health, Women's Health, Chronic Disease Management including Diabetes and Management of Complex Medical Conditions.
