Our school prep group is off to a great start this term.

We’ve been using visual supports to help plan, communicate, and stay on track through each activity.

Simple tools like these make it easier for children to follow along, understand what’s happening next, and feel comfortable in the routine.

We’ve been hearing so many stories exactly like this one recently. As parents of children on the NDIS ourselves, it’s pretty scary to imagine being in that situation.

As a parent, being on the advocacy journey itself is hard to begin with, let alone now trying to plan for what feels so daunting and unpredictable.

Hopefully there is some change and understanding soon that allows families and the NDIS to find more common ground, as there is so much positive potential.

Until then, sing out to the people around you. Most of the time there’s nothing about the situation that can be fixed straight away but sometimes having some validation and feeling a little less alone can help get you through the day.

As more and more of us struggle with plan cuts and changes, this is especially important. Even on the most challenging day, if nothing else, remember that you’re not alone.

Our MTB group is back this term, and the energy has been incredible.

These sessions combine movement, regulation, and connection - all while exploring the outdoors and building real-world skills in a supportive environment.

Riding together helps children build confidence, problem-solving skills, and resilience, while enjoying the freedom and sensory input that comes from being outdoors.

Our Girls WildCamp is happening 25–26 October for ages 9-12, and there are just three places remaining.

WildCamp is a therapeutic overnight camping experience designed to build confidence, connection, and independence in a supportive, nature-based environment.

Across the weekend, campers will explore, create, and connect through outdoor activities, team building, and quiet moments around the campfire - supported by our therapy team every step of the way.

We’re Back for Term 4!

It’s been a full and exciting few weeks at Rosewood. Our team has been busy running Holiday Intensives, Groups and WildCamps, filled with adventure, creativity, and connection.

We’ve now kicked off our weekly therapy sessions and are so excited to be back in nature with both new and familiar faces.

A big thank you for your patience while our admin team have been away - we truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait for another wonderful term ahead.

Boys WildCamps 12–15 yrs ~ 1 spot left!

We have one final place available for our boys WildCamp next weekend, running from 9am Saturday 11 October to 9am Sunday 12 October.

This camp was originally designed with a mountain bike focus, but due to unforeseen circumstances we’ve had to tweak the plan. Instead, the weekend will be all about kayaking, fishing, and fun at a private creek property in King Creek, alongside all the usual camping adventures, connection and time in nature.
