Job Description

The Bookkeeper is responsible for undertaking operational, financial and accounting functions, as well as ensuring the correct application of accounting standards and policy matters. They will work closely with office staff and our external accountant to provide bookkeeping and general administrative support to our business.

Requirements

- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting
- BAS Agent registration
- Membership with ATMA, AAT, CBK, ACCA, ABAL, CPA, ICB, IPA or CAANZ or equivalent.
- Possess good knowledge of disability providers and supports, developed through strong connections in the relevant community.

Experience

Demonstrated Continuing Professional Development.
Experience with MYOB and Xero software is essential.
1 years’ current experience in a bookkeeping role.

Job Description

The NDIS Community Engagement Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of capacity building activities to the NDIS participants.
The role of the NDIS Community Engagement Officer is to work with existing or new participants, throughout to strengthen their capacity to understand the NDIS and other activities to maximise their independence, self-advocacy and community participation.

Endear Care aims to:

Increase participants’ local connections and use a community development approach to reach out and support NDIS participants, their families and carers in the community, both individually and as a collective
Increase the understanding and capacity of participants and their supporters to:
a. Exercise choice and control
b. Engage with the NDIS and other community support options
c. Participate economically and socially

Identify and select local peer-support groups to support NDIS participants, their families and carers.
engage with the community in order to understand the barriers to accessing NDIS and encourage better utilisation and more widespread use.

Requirements

- A tertiary qualification in Disability or other relevant field and / or demonstrated experience in community engagement and capacity building.
- Cert IV in Community Development or equivalent
- Current Working With Children’s Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate

Experience

Experience with community engagement processes including; planning, communication, presentation, facilitation, evaluation and report writing.
Experience interacting with community members from all backgrounds, demographics and interests

The Disability Support Worker is responsible for implementing training and support services aimed at maximising the living, employment, social and recreational skills of people with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.

Requirements

- Cert III Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
- Current WWCC, Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certificate
- Drivers License
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Smartphone

Experience

- At least 6months experience in Disability or Aged care.
