What a week.

I read this quote and it instantly hit home.

What started with National Wog Day (IYKYK), was then followed by a funeral, a death, 2 family members in hospital and a farewell celebration of a company I was part of for 13 years. But amongst that was precious family moments, Wyndham Myotherapy’s biggest week since opening, my mum winning an award for community business coach of the year and becoming the Victorian ambassador or the International coaching guild, my daughter moving up a lesson in swimming, my son embracing new friendships, my niece making her basketball grand final and nephew getting an award at school.

Life isn’t always perfect, but there are many special moments that deserve to be celebrated and I am grateful for every one of them.

I thought it's finally time to put a face to the name.

I'm Emily - the owner of Wyndham Myotherapy.

After spending 13 years teaching others to become Massage therapist and Myotherapists I felt it was time to return to what I loved. As the years went on, I found myself spending more time in meetings and at a desk and less time having real interactions and sharing my knowledge.

I missed the satisfaction of having a client leave my table in a world of post massage bliss, or having more movement than they did when they walked in. I missed the client stories that came from regular interactions and the insights into their achievements that you don't get from the outside. I missed being able to spend time with my family without constant work stresses over my head that were beyond my control.

When I walked into the space that Wyndham Myotherapy occupies, it just felt right. Each day I come into work excited for the new and old faces I get to treat and inspired to expand my knowledge and tools to give clients the best tools to facilitate their recovery.

So often with business products, choice comes down to cost.

When this comment was made to me it made me stop and think. Yes, it is expensive compared to other products out there, but I honestly couldn’t stop touching my skin. It felt soft, smooth and not at all greasy. It made me think about how many hours a week my skin is in contact with products and honestly, that is what sold the product to me.

In a world where so much is disposable, don’t let your health be one of the things you think twice about.

What a year it’s been.

I’m a big believer in family coming first and things happening for a reason. Both of these reasons are why Wyndham Myotherapy was created - An opportunity to spend more quality time with the family and work next door to mum!

I’ve loved getting back into clinical practice after 13 years of teaching Myotherapy and Fitness courses, reconnecting with old students and clients and meeting many new clients along the way.

I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings!
