YCM and Dave would like to welcome and introduce our newest management team member, Eddy, who joins us as our Operations and Business Manager!

This role will help ensure that YCM clients continue to receive the care and support, while upholding the values and vision that make Your Choice Matters what it is.

Although we remain a small, family run organisation, our commitment to exceptional, values led support keeps growing, and Eddy’s experience and leadership will strengthen that even further.

Eddy brings a wealth of experience across the community, rehabilitation, and NDIS sectors, but more importantly, he brings heart, empathy, and a deep belief in people’s potential. His leadership aligns perfectly with YCM’s culture of trust, teamwork, and care that extends beyond the workplace into real community connection.

We’re so excited to have Eddy join our YCM family and continue building a team that leads with authenticity, kindness, and purpose! Welcome Eddy! 🥳

A great win for Jace and the Forrestville Eagles over the weekend! 🏀 Ben our Rostering Coordinator (previously a YCM mentor) showed up to cheer on one of our amazing Under 10s at his basketball grand final, and he smashed it! Amazing work Jace 😍

Following the huge success of our Dungeons & Dragons program, we're levelling up our Tuesday nights and introducing 🎲 Gamers Galore 🧩

This will be a fun, inclusive evening where YCM clients can come together between 5PM-8PM every second Tuesday to connect, compete, and celebrate all things gaming.

Whether you're into board games, card games, video games, or just great company, there is definitely something for everyone.

After five years, we finally have Dave stepping into the spotlight to share a bit of his story! Those who know Dave understand that he would prefer to work behind the scenes, keep his head down and support families and individuals, no matter the time or day. But today, we are flipping the script and shining a light on Dave’s history, background and delving into the values that have shaped both him and YCM as a whole! Look through the photos to read about his story ⬇️

While Dave’s journey through sport has taken him across the globe, he still retains the family and community oriented focus ingrained into him throughout his upbringing in the small town of Kadina. Since returning to his home state and starting Your Choice Matters as a sole-trader in November 2020, the business has provided countless hours of exceptional care and service to NDIS participants across SA. Although the business grows each year, the values, ethos and vision have remained the same. This is very much a testament to Dave’s messaging and leadership, in which the goal has always been to help individuals “lead meaningful life and enjoy enriching life experiences, chosen by how and who they want to be supported by”.

Outside of YCM, Dave is a devoted father to his two lovely young children Summer and Arlo, we can’t forget his two dogs Lacie and Sev and of course his lovely wife Jess. Jess is Dave’s biggest cheerleader and a constant behind the scenes supporter at YCM, so we thank her ongoing encouragement, patience and support of all things YCM since the beginning! Apart from spending quality time at home, Dave is an avid (and not too shabby) golfer and also loves staying active. He might also occasionally wind down with a good crime show! ⛳️ 📺

From the YCM team, we thank Dave for his tireless efforts and leadership! And we look forward to seeing him evolve as we continue to service the community 🤗

💦 One rainy day in June, a wonderful group of YCM clients and staff visited Cleland Wildlife Park for a day of connection, community and adventure! Even despite the weather posing some challenges, the group persevered to meet some furry friends, share a warm drink and engage in some board game fun. 🎲

The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive and we can’t wait to do it all over again!

🌟 Meet Tom! 🌟
Tom is a pro-active, dependable and approachable mentor at YCM, driven by his passion for making a real difference in the lives of his clients. With a natural ability to connect, Tom creates a supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and motivated to achieve their goals!

Outside of his work at YCM, Tom’s passion for basketball shines through. Having played since he was 5 years old, Tom competes at the NBL1 level, bringing the discipline, teamwork and focus he’s developed on the court directly into his role as a mentor. His ability to foster collaboration and encourage growth is evident both on and off the court.

In addition to basketball, Tom is a qualified fitness professional, holding a Certificate III in Fitness. He enjoys staying active through gym workouts, basketball, and outdoor adventures. Always up for a new challenge, Tom embraces opportunities to explore, learn, and grow.

We’re proud to have Tom as part of the YCM team and are grateful for the energy and care he brings to every client interaction. 🤗

🌟 Meet Sarah! 🌟
Sarah is one of YCM’s longstanding mentors, known for her unwavering motivation and passion for supporting others. She excels at building strong mentoring relationships and helping clients reach their goals everyday with her outstanding dedication and knowledge.

Outside of work, Sarah is currently studying a Bachelor of Social Work. She chose this path because of her deep commitment to helping people. She believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their goals (big or small), a belief she brings to life every day at YCM!

When she isn’t burying her head into the books, Sarah enjoys spending time with friends and family, knowing how important it is to be surrounded by positive people. She also loves heading to the beach, grabbing lunch with friends and playing social team sports.

We're incredibly grateful to have Sarah on the YCM team. Her energy, care, and consistency make a real difference in the lives of the clients and families we support. Thank you Sarah and keep up the great work!

We are proud to announce that Your Choice Matters is now officially approved and recognised as a NDIS Registered Provider by the NDIS Commission.

This milestone marks a huge step forward in our mission to support South Australians living with a disability to live life to the fullest!

✈️ Good bye Myah! 🩵

Myah has been an incredible member of our YCM family for 2 wonderful years, until today we say good bye. Myah has always embodied YCM’s values and formed some amazing, lasting connections with her clients along the way. She will be deeply missed as she embarks on her new journey across the world to Paris!

We wish you the absolute best Myah and you will always be welcome back with open arms 🤗🇫🇷❤️
