It is with great sadness that Rod and I learned earlier this morning of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Her Majesty’s life was one of extraordinary dedication and service, which earned her respect and admiration the world over, including here in South Australia.

She was greatly admired for the dignity and grace she brought to her accession at the young age of 25.

We were privileged to welcome Her Majesty and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on their first visit to Australia in 1954 and on six further occasions.

Rod and I join with all South Australians in sending to the King and members of the Royal Family my deepest condolences.
