The BPhil Union is proud to be collaborating with STRIVE-WA to bring to you the STRIVE-WA x BPhil Union x MSAND RIG Research Skills Workshop Night. Please see below for more information 🥰🥰:

Are you hoping to develop your skills to contribute to research?
The STRIVE WA x BPhil Union x MSAND RIG Research Skills Workshop is an introductory crash course designed to equip you with essential research skills and gain insight into the importance of research as a medical student and how to get involved. Join our friendly team and guest speakers to learn about why you should do research, the types of research, critical appraisal, and intro to biostatistics. This event is designed for undergraduate students, MDs, and anyone who needs a research refresher from any university.
Date: Wednesday 29th May 2024
Time: Registration from 5:00pm. 5:30pm commencement of our four workshops. 7:30pm catering and networking.

Looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Western Australian high school students? Our non-for-profit, Elucidate Education, is currently seeking university student volunteers to help us write and publish textbooks for Chemistry unit 1 and Physics unit 3, as well as online resources for many more ATAR subjects!

As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Make a difference: By providing free online resources and donating 1 in every 2 textbooks sold, you’ll be contributing to the success of students who might not otherwise have access to high-quality education materials.

• Build your skills: You’ll gain valuable experience in writing, communication and other skills which can help build your resume. UWA students can also receive transcript recognition of their volunteering.

• Join a community: You’ll become part of a fun and passionate community of university students who are committed to making a positive impact on education and hold frequent social events.

Commitment is roughly 3-5 hours per week, with weekly writing afternoons and social events on Sunday evenings. For more info, visit https://www.elucidate.org.au/volunteer
