Laughter really is the best medicine and Laughter Yoga is great way to support your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing with gentle movement, deep breathing, relaxation and intentional laughter activities that are suitable for all ages and a great way to connect communities, workplaces, families and organisations

I am excited to share LY with the Wynnum Manly Community and add this wonderful wellbeing practice to the host of services that I offer. Yoga and Laughter Yoga has played an integral role in supporting my health and happiness including overcoming depression, anxiety and panic attacks and navigating life as a busy neurodivergent mum and business owner. These practices have changed my life and I am so grateful for the opportunity to share them with you to bring you better health, happiness and connection to yourself and the world around you

HISTORY & BENEFITS OF LAUGHTER YOGA

Developed over 29 years ago by Dr Madan Kataria in India LY has been proven to have many health and wellbeing benefits and is a great way to make meet new friends

I fell in love with Laughter Yoga when I did my Yoga Teacher Training in Bali in 2018 and loved how light and bright I felt after just one LY session. I have since learned there are so many more benefits including these below

* Cognitive improvement including memory, creativity, problem solving with increase in oxygen to the brain
*,Relaxation and reduced stress and anxiety, reducing cortisol and relaxing the body and mind
* Physical Benefits with improved immunity and increase in blood flow and detoxification in the body
* Social Connection with like minded locals from your community and lifelong friendships forged
* Improved moods and mindset with increase in seratonin and endorphins to increase happiness

I took the Laughter on a little roadtrip out to Boonah yesterday for a scrapbooking themed Laughter Yoga session with these wonderful ladies at their scrapbooking camp hosted by Scrapbooking Sue

Surrounded by nature and kangaroos we had a lot of fun with a very unique scrapbooking theme, we ripped it up, got punching and laughed about our craft bills 😅🧾💸

Not only was it fun and creative but a good way to shake off some stress and learn some simple breathing and relaxation techniques
