Hi.

This is no longer an active group. However….I would be very interested to learn who might still be interested in having something similar to this available in your community and how we as a collective might go about ensuring this is acccessible and inclusive group perhaps in which we all contribute.

Happy for comments below and we’ll start the conversation.

Hi those who follow here. This is tricky for me....anyhoo....

It is now going to cost me $279 AUD to have an annual facilitator membership in order to run PBM. This fee has increased. Naturally to get the ball rolling I paid the initial (much smaller) fee to become a facilitator, however I unfortunately don’t see that I can personally sustain running the group at this cost. PBM has become a huge global network in support women around birth. I have two questions and would love your thoughts...
Thanks in advance
Louise Thornton

1. Those who are following, attend or have liked what I’m up to, would you like it to continue and do you see it has worth in continuing?

2. Does anyone have some great ideas/suggestions of a method to raise funds/crowd fund? If so please share your ideas.

In these unprecedented times, many women who were planning home or birth centre birth are now facing the possibility of birth in a hospital setting.

Join me, Milli Hill, live on the Positive Birth Movement page, this Friday at 2pm to talk about how to have a positive birth in any and every setting.

I'm the founder of the Positive Birth Movement, author of the bestselling Positive Birth Book and Give Birth Like a Feminist and founder of 'the circle' online antenatal course (https://www.millihill.co.uk/courses/the-circle),

Our choice of place of birth may be out of our control, but this does not mean that 'everything' is out of our control. I will be talking about ways you can change your mindset, work with your own physiology, and maximise your chances of a positive birth experience.

This online chat will be useful to you even if you were already planning a hospital birth. If you have specific questions for me, post them on this thread between now and Friday and I'll do my best, but like everyone right now, I don't have all the answers. See you there, Milli x

Australian women currently have limited access to pregnancy, birth and postnatal services at home. This is particularly concerning considering the current COVID-19 pandemic, where they must enter a hospital for all of their care putting themselves and their babies at risk. Those models of care that....
