There’s no one cause for heart disease. However, there are risk factors that increase your chance of developing it. Preventing heart disease starts with knowing your risk factors and making positive lifestyle changes to lower your risk.

Know your heart disease risk. Talk to your GP about a Heart Health Check. Visit http://ow.ly/uIhG105mm7N to book an appointment.

Regular physical activity is one of the best ways to improve your heart health. This New Year, aim to be active every day, achieving at least 30 minutes of physical activity at least five or more days per week. Not only will it make you feel great, it will also help lower your risk of heart disease.

By making your heart work a little harder, you can reduce your risk of heart disease by up to 20% – regardless of your age or gender. Regular physical activity can also help reduce heart disease risk factors, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol.
