Gongs have been used as healing tools and ceremonial instruments for 5000 years.

They are part of an ancient tradition known as Sound Healing which also includes using our voices (such as toning & mantra chanting), drums, tuning forks and tibetan bowls.

Over this Seasons of ‘Goodwill To All Men’ we pray for Peace on Mother Earth. I offer this poem by the great Irish Poet & Author John O’Donohue.

FOR PEACE by JOHN O’DONOHUE
As the fever of day calms towards twilight
May all that is strained in us come to ease.

We pray for all who suffered violence today,
May an unexpected serenity surprise them.

For those who risk their lives each day for peace,
May their hearts glimpse providence at the heart of history.

That those who make riches from violence and war
Might hear in their dreams the cries of the lost.

That we might see through our fear of each other
A new vision to heal our fatal attraction to aggression.

That those who enjoy the privilege of peace
Might not forget their tormented brothers and sisters.

That the wolf might lie down with the lamb,
That our swords be beaten into ploughshares

And no hurt or harm be done
Anywhere along the holy mountain.

As Winter Solstice approaches, I find myself not ready !!! It's surprised me just how much I have enjoyed these 'early dark' days. I always take a woodsy walk or coastal bike run as dusk closes in at 3pm and return energised to enjoy my new home. In fact, I have hardly started the plans I had for these dark days - my writing and planned projects!! Such Beauty in Mama Nature & her Seasons.

‘Fiesta Farewell’ We have a magical Yoga & sound class this Thursday 25th 9.30am as Gay is going to accompany the whole way through the yoga flow! Get your Shakti Flow going! This is followed with the usual omazing long gong bath relaxation.
Expect crystal bowls and percussion in addition to the gong as a symphony of vibrations.
will be traveling so we thought this would be a fab gift and celebration together.

When we give thanks to Mother Earth through gifts and prayers we open the realms of potential for ourselves to heal and be able to manifest our desires and dreams. The Inca do this through a Despacho which is a beautiful ceremony. Children over 5 are welcome to participate.
The Despacho is a Gift to Mother Earth or Pachamama – a giving back of what we receive every day in our lives and we seek, through this ceremony, to create a bridge between ordinary and non ordinary realms to establish new possibilities – Q’ero Elder Don Manuel Q’espi
