Look at the inflammed (impending burst ) appendix! এটা একটা ১৩ বছরের মেয়ের এপেন্ডিক্স। রোগী এক দিনের হিস্ট্রি দিয়েছে। কিন্তু দেখে মনে হচ্ছে দুই থেকে তিন দিনের এটাক হবে। অপারেশন না করলে ২৪ ঘন্টার ভেতর ফেটে (burst )যেতে পারতো!
সাধারণ জনগন বুঝতে চায় না বা মানতে চায় না যে এসকল জরুরি অপারেশন জরুরি ভিত্তিতেই করিয়ে ফেলতে হয়। অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রেই তারা হয় সময় চায় নয়তো ওষুধের মাধ্যমে চিকিৎসা চায়। কিন্তু তারা রোগের জটিলতা সম্পর্কে অবগত নয় কিংবা উদাসীন। আবার অনেক ক্ষেত্রে money is a big problem! তবে যেটাই হোক, জরুরি অপারেশন জরুরি ভিত্তিতেই করিয়ে ফেলা উচিত নয়তো জটিলতা জীবন পর্যন্ত কেড়ে নিতে পারে! তাছাড়া সে ক্ষেত্রে খরচও অনেক বাড়ে। সকল অপারেশন ই জরুরি ভিত্তিতে করা লাগে না কিন্তু কিছু আছে যেটা সত্যিকার অর্থেই ইমার্জেন্সি। সে ক্ষেত্রে late করা একেবারেই অনুচিত।

Pilonidal sinus
যাদের মাথায় বেশি চুল থাকে / ঘন বা কোঁকড়ানো চুল থাকে তাঁদের ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত এ রোগটি বেশি দেখা যায়। এটি সাধারণত মেরুদণ্ডের একেবারে নিচের হাড়গুলোর উপর যে চামড়া থাকে সেখানে হয়। ড্রাইভারদের এটি বেশি হয়ে থাকে। এজন্য এ রোগটির আরেক নাম jeep driver's disease. তবে আজকে ব্যাতিক্রম জায়গায় রোগটি টি পেলাম এবং সার্জারি করলাম। এই pilonidal sinus টি ছিল কানের পেছনে অর্থাৎ post auricular pilonidal sinus!! A very rare condition.

Shotgun pellet was removed successfully from the left temporal region of a student's head. It was quite impalpable and incision was made with assumption with student's identified location. Usually the pellets are located in the subcutenous region but in this case it was embeded within temporal bone! It is usually not needed to remove the pellet until casuing problems. The patient was eagerly desire to remove this.However it was removed and he was very happy and free from anxiety.
