নারিকেল তেল আমাদের সবার পরিচিত। অনেকেরই ধারণা— এই তেল শুধু চুলের জন্যই উপকারী। চুল ছাড়াও বহু জরুরি কাজে এই তেল ব্যবহার হয়ে থাকে।

নারিকেল তেল খাবারেও অনেক গুরুত্ব পায়। এটি খাবারের স্বাদ বাড়ানোর পাশাপাশি শরীরের জন্যও বেশ উপকারী। এতে রয়েছে অ্যান্টিব্যাক্টেরিয়াল, অ্যান্টিভাইরাল এবং অ্যান্টিফাঙ্গাল গুণাবলি। এই তেল মেদ কমাতে, বিপাক প্রক্রিয়াকে উন্নত করতে, ক্ষুধা কমাতে, কোলেস্টেরল কমাতে এবং আমাদের অন্ত্রকেও ভালো রাখতে সহায়তা করে।

নারিকেল তেলের অনেক ব্যবহার রয়েছে। এটি আপনার স্বাস্থ্যের উন্নতি করার পাশাপাশি সৌন্দর্য বৃদ্ধিতে এবং বাড়ির বিভিন্ন কাজে ব্যবহার করতে পারেন। নারিকেল তেলের বিভিন্ন ব্যবহার ও কৌশল ব্যবহার করে এড়াতে পারেন অপ্রয়োজনীয় পণ্য কেনা এবং সাশ্রয় করতে পারেন আপনার অর্থ। এ ছাড়া বিভিন্ন কাজে বিষাক্ত রাসায়নিক ব্যবহারের বিকল্প হিসেবেও বেছে নিতে পারেন এই তেল।

জানুন নারিকেল তেলের হরেকরকম ব্যবহার—

১. শক্তি বৃদ্ধি করতে

নারিকেল তেল মাঝারি চেইন ট্রাইগ্লিসারাইডস (এমসিটি) নামের ফ্যাটি অ্যাসিড সমৃদ্ধ হওয়ায় এটি সহজেই শরীরে শোষিত হয়। তাই এটি আপনার দেহে, মস্তিষ্কে এবং কোষের শক্তি বৃদ্দি করতে পারে।

কফির ক্রিমার খাওয়ার অভ্যাসের বিকল্প হিসেবে ব্যবহার করতে পারেন নারিকেল তেল। আপনার কফিতে পছন্দমতো প্রাকৃতিক মিষ্টির সঙ্গে এক চামচ নারিকেল তেল বা কাঁচা নারিকেল মিশিয়ে বা ব্লেন্ড করে খেতে পারেন। এটি আপনার শক্তি বুস্ট করতে হতে পারে অনেক কার্যকরী।

২. রান্নার কাজে ব্যবহার
রান্নার কাজেও ব্যবহার করা যায় নারিকেল তেল। বিশেষ করে ফ্রাইস করার ক্ষেত্রে এটি অনেক ভালো তেল হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা যায়। ডিম, স্ট্রে-ফ্রাই, তরকারী বা ফ্রেঞ্চ টোস্টের মতো খাবার তৈরি করার সময় এটি ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে। এ ছাড়া কিছু বেকড সামগ্রীর রেসিপিতে যেমন— রুটি, মাফিনস, ব্রাউনিজ এবং কেকের জন্য মাখন বা অন্য তেলের বিকল্প হিসেবে ব্যবহার করতে পারেন নারিকেল তেল।

৩. দাঁত ও মুখের যত্নে
নারিকেল তেল আপনার দাঁত ও মাড়ির স্বাস্থ্যের জন্য উপকারী। এতে একটি অ্যান্টিব্যাক্টেরিয়াল বৈশিষ্ট্য রয়েছে, যেটি স্ট্রেপ্টোকোকাস নামের মুখের ব্যাক্টেরিয়াকে মেরে ফেলে। ফলে ফলক, গহ্বর ও মাড়ির রোগ হওয়ার ঝুঁকি কমে আসে।
এর জন্য সকালে খালি পেটে এক টেবিল চামচ নারিকেল তেল দিয়ে ব্রাশ করে মাউথওয়াশ বা হালকা লবণযুক্ত পানি দিয়ে মুখ ধুয়ে নিলেই মিরবে উপকার।

৪. মেকআপ রিমুভার হিসাবে ব্যবহার
মুখে দেওয়া মেকআপ শক্ত হয়ে গেলে সেটি সহজেই তুলে ফেলতে পারে নারিকেল তেল। এর পাশাপাশি এটি ত্বককে মসৃণ করতেও কাজ করবে এটি।

৫. শেভিং ক্রিমের বিকল্প হিসেবে
শেভিং ক্রিম শেষ হয়ে গেছে? নারিকেল তেল ব্যবহার করতে পারেন শেভিং ক্রিমের বিকল্প হিসেবে। ক্ষতিকারক রাসায়নিক ব্যবহার করার পরিবর্তে নারিকেল তেল ব্যবহারে ত্বক ময়শ্চারাইজড এবং ক্লিন শেভের জন্য ত্বককে নরম ও মসৃণ করবে।

৬. ঠোঁট ফাটা রোধ করে
নারিকেল তেলে অ্যান্টি-ইনফ্ল্যামেটরি বৈশিষ্ট্য থাকার কারণে এটি খুব ভালো ত্বকের ময়েশ্চারাইজার হিসেবে কাজ করে। এটি ঠোঁটে ব্যবহারের ফলে ঠোঁট অনেক মসৃণ হয় এবং এটিতে প্রাকৃতিকভাবে এসপিএফ-৭ থাকায় এটি সূর্যের থেকে ত্বককেও কিছুটা সুরক্ষা প্রদান করে।

৭. কাঠের আসবাবপত্র চকচকে করে
কাঠের আসবাবপত্র পরিষ্কার করে চকচকে করে তুলতে কাজে দিতে পারে নারিকেল তেল। বিভিন্ন রাসায়নিক পরিষ্কারকারক পদার্থগুলোতে প্রচুর বিষাক্ত উপাদান এবং গাড় সিন্থেটিক গন্ধ থাকায় এটি ঘরের বাতাসকে দূষিত করতে পারে। তাই এর পরিতর্তে আপনি নারিকেল তেল ব্যবহার করে পেতে পারেন চকচকে আসবাবপত্র।

এর জন্য গলিত নারিকেল তেলে এক টুকরো লেবুর রস এবং কিছু সাদা ভিনেগার মিশ্রিয়ে ঘরেই বানিয়ে ফেলতে পারেন পরিষ্কারকারক এই নারিকেল তেলের এই মিশ্রনটি।
