I would like to introduce you all to Hureine's Éclat with a quick background on how I began my journey....
As a kid I was always mesmerized by my teenage sister's amazingly beautiful pencil sketches. She was, of course, not a professional nor did she take any formal art classes, yet to me, as a five year old, my big sister's work was the world’s best! This is what inspired me into drawing and crafting; starting off making birthday cards for my friends and loved ones to even making paper origami whether or not there was a reason. With time, my knack for crafting became my passion. Now when I sit back and reflect, I realize that it gives me refuge to tranquility from our very busy and, at times, hectic worldly activities. After I had gotten married, my husband, Mohammed, had always appreciated my work whenever I made decorative things for our home. He would encourage me to utilize my passion to do something of my own and become independent. He believed that creative work and designing is where I can express myself and flourish. Just like most others, I was too pre-occupied at the time focusing on completing my Bachelor’s degree and raising our two little sons, now eight and five years old. I ignored my passion because my family has been my priority and I enjoyed being dependent on my caring husband. The world suddenly changed for us recently when my husband was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called Moya Moya. Today he goes through his journey to recover from a massive post-brain surgery stroke due to his medical condition. He spends his time silently at a Texas rehabilitation center and yet never fails to encourage me with his bright eyes and peaceful smile. I now desire to go back to pursue my passion and fulfill my husband’s wishes in addition to taking care of my family. I am finally ready to take his encouragement and my dream ahead and begin this journey....
I have started off by designing hand crafted kimonos/capes and scarves alongside handmade accessories such as broaches, bracelets and hair pins with my personal touch. None the less I also have handmade decorative pieces for homes to make life more eventful though celebration banners. I earnestly hope that my products reach out to all and live up to everyone’s expectation. The start of "Hureine’s Éclat” has been possible due to endless support and encouragement from family and friends during the most difficult time of our lives. I extend my special thanks to all for believing in me and constantly encouraging me to launch my product; and of course Almighty for giving me the strength and will power. I end with a phrase which wraps up my drive to success:
" Our journey begins..."
