PDF family extends heartfelt sympathy to all affected families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

PDF, Jahangirnagar University ইউনিটের সাধারণ সম্পাদক নৃবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ৫১তম ব্যাচের শিক্ষার্থী জুবায়ের হোসেন আজ সকাল ১১ টায় সাভারের এনাম মেডিক্যালে ইন্তেকাল করেছেন।

ইন্না-লিল্লাহ ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজীউন।

তার আকষ্মিক মৃত্যুতে পিডিএফ পরিবার গভীরভাবে শোকাহত ও মর্মাহত।

আমরা তার রুহের মাগফিরাত কামনা করছি। মহান আল্লাহ তার পরিবারকে ধৈর্য ধরার তৌফিক দান করুন।

ছোটবেলা থেকেই কোনো অজানা কারণে বাবাকে বেশ ভয় পাই। বাবা চুপচাপ মানুষ, এজন্য দরকার ছাড়া কথাও হতো খুব স্বল্প। এই অবস্থার পরিবর্তন আসে আমি কলেজে উঠার পর। কলেজে বিভাগ পরিবর্তন থেকে শুরু করে ভার্সিটির সাবজেক্ট চয়েস দেওয়া অবধি বাবা সবসময় পথ দেখিয়েছেন।

ভার্সিটি এডমিশনের সময় আমার সাথে সমান তালে সাধারণ জ্ঞানের খবর রেখেছেন বাবা। পাছে কোনো আপডেট আমার চোখ এড়িয়ে যায়! এজন্য প্রায়শই মজা করে বলতাম "ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জন্য বাবা একবার না দুবার পড়েছে। প্রথমবার নিজের জন্য,পরেরবার মেয়ের জন্য"!

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে চান্স পাওয়া নিয়ে আমি নিজের ওপর মাঝে মাঝে আস্থা হারালেও বাবা সবসময় বলেছেন "আমি জানি তুমি চান্স পাবে"।

আমার শারীরিক প্রতিবন্ধকতার জন্য বাবাকে কখনো আমার স্বপ্নের প্রতি সন্দিহান হতে দেখিনি। অনেক মানুষ নানান ধরনের পরামর্শ দিলেও আমি যা চেয়েছি বাবা সেটাই নিঃসন্দেহে সাপোর্ট করেছে। শারীরিক প্রতিবন্ধকতার কারণে আমার পোটেনসিয়ালকে মানুষ প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ করলেও আমার বাবা আমার "কনস্টেন্ট সাপোর্ট সিস্টেম" হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন।

বাবা দিবসে তার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা ও ভালোবাসা জানাই। 💙

বাবা দিবসে বাবা কে নিয়ে স্মৃতিচারণ করলেন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থী পুস্পিতা চৌধুরী।

আমাদের জীবনের প্রথম নায়ক, আমাদের প্রথম বন্ধু বাবা। যিনি কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে আমাদের ভবিষ্যৎ গড়ে তোলেন, যিনি ভালোবাসায় ভরা দিকনির্দেশনা দেন, যিনি আমাদের প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপে থাকেন নিরলস সঙ্গী।

একজন প্রতিবন্ধী মানুষের জীবনে বাবা শুধু একজন অভিভাবকই নয়, তিনি এক অনন্য শক্তি, ও অনুপ্রেরণার উৎস। প্রতিবন্ধকতার যেসব সীমাবদ্ধতা তাকে বাধা দেয়, বাবা হয় তার সাহসিকতা এবং ধৈর্যের প্রথম সোপান।

বাবার মমতা আর সহানুভূতি প্রতিবন্ধী মানুষের আত্মবিশ্বাস বাড়ায়, সমাজের বাঁধা গুলো পার হতে সাহায্য করে। তিনি শেখান, প্রতিবন্ধকতা কোনো অসুবিধা নয়, বরং জীবনের নতুন এক অধ্যায়, যেখানে শক্তি ও আশা দিয়ে লেখা যায় নতুন গল্প।

Empowering Leaders for an Inclusive Tomorrow!

The Physically-challenged Development Foundation (PDF) proudly organized a Team Building Workshop on 26 April 2025 at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro, Dhaka, bringing together around 25 dynamic volunteers and students with disabilities from our branches at JU, DU, RU, and JnU. Members of YouthNet and the Central Team also actively participated in this inspiring event.

The purpose of the workshop was to:
• Strengthen leadership skills among newly appointed branch leaders,
• Foster collaboration and solidarity across PDF units,
• Build confidence and teamwork through interactive learning,
• And align our collective efforts to promote dignity, participation, and rights of persons with disabilities.

At PDF, we believe that empowered youth leaders are key to driving inclusive development and breaking barriers. This workshop marks another step towards building a stronger, more resilient movement for disability rights in Bangladesh.

From accessible transport and mobility support to real-time guidance and guardian facilities — our team worked to ensure an inclusive, barrier-free environment for all.

We sincerely appreciate the gracious visit and encouragement from Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleh Hasan Nakib and Pro-VC (Admin) Prof. Mainuddin, whose presence inspired both candidates and volunteers.
