Readers crown their
Gym of the Year 2025
STRONG Path CIC, based in West Wellow, has been crowned the Gym of the Year 2025 by readers of the Hampshire Chronicle and Romsey Advertiser, following a surge of public votes and community support.
Situated at Unit H in Oakdene Business Park, Whinwhistle Road, Strong Path CIC rose to the top of the shortlist after thousands of local residents nominated and voted for their favourite gym. The annual competition, which closed on June 15, celebrates the most inspiring and impactful fitness centres across the region.
Strong Path CIC, a community interest company, was praised by voters for its inclusive approach, mental health focus, and strong emphasis on holistic wellbeing. The gym’s dedication to empowering people of all backgrounds and abilities clearly resonated with readers.
Editor Kimberley Barber said: “We were delighted to see so much support for our Gym of the Year, and we are even more delighted to announce the winner. We will be shining a light on our winner as a story in next week’s paper - well done to Strong Path CIC and thank you to our readers for taking the time to vote.”

Keep forgetting to post this but was really fun to do the workshops Oak Lodge Special School for Strong Path CIC all the pupils were amazing and was great to be able to teach them all about sport and exercise 🏃‍♀️ 😊

🌿💔 After 8 remarkable years, our journey at the gym is coming to a close. We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you who have been part of this amazing journey. Your support over the years has meant a lot to me and given motivation in the hard times.
Every journey must sadly end, but with that one will begin…. Let’s hope the path ahead is strong 💪
