ICE syndrome is a group of rare eye condition that involves an irregular corneal endothelium that can lead to varying degrees of corneal edema, iris atrophy, and secondary angle-closure glaucoma with three clinical variants:
1.Chandler Syndrome
2.Essential / Progressive Iris Atrophy
3.Iris Nevus / Cogan-Reese Syndrome
Complications
Glaucoma happens in about 50% of cases, and it can be severe, especially in:
Progressive Iris Atrophy and Cogan-Reese Syndrome.
Prognosis
The outcome depends on how early it is diagnosed and how well it's treated.
Regular follow-ups are important to monitor and manage glaucoma.
