A trophy can look impressive… until you lift it.

Base thickness is one of the most underestimated decisions in award design, and one of the most important. Because the base determines four defining features that make a trophy feel luxurious.

1️⃣ 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲
Weight communicates worth. A thin base feels light and replaceable. A substantial base creates gravity - literally and psychologically.

2️⃣ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
Award ceremonies are live events with fast transitions, bright lights and lots of movement. A poorly proportioned base wobbles. A well-calculated base anchors the object - and the moment.

3️⃣ 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
When the base is too thin, the object becomes top-heavy, fragile and unstable. When the base is too thick, you get a heavy, dated, trophy-shop aesthetic.

Balance is everything. ⚖️

4️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
The distribution of weight determines how a trophy is gripped, how it's raised and how it's photographed.
If the base is engineered correctly, the object feels like it belongs in a winner's hands.

From concept to the final table.

For the PGT Mixed Games 2026, Fabit designed and produced the trophies for all 7 events — created to match the intensity and prestige of the game at the highest level. 3D printed in SLA resin, with a matte black finish, plexi front plates with gold foil and subtle brushed metallic detailing.

🏆 Event #5 found its champion in Yuri Dzivielevski, a defining moment in what became a dominant run through the 2026 PGT Mixed Games. Congratulations on the win, !

We’re proud to have crafted the official award for the Champion of Brussels Garnaal Croquette 2026 🏆

Congratulations to Alexandre De Groodt from Restaurant Journal, whose shrimp croquette was crowned this year’s winner after a blind tasting by a jury of culinary journalists and top chefs, chaired by Lionel Rigolet of Comme Chez Soi.
