You close your laptop at the end of the day, but your body is still at work.

Your shoulders stay tense. Your jaw is tight. Your mind keeps replaying conversations that are already over.

This is where most people misunderstand well-being. They think it’s about reaching balance, as if there is a point where everything finally settles ⚖️

In reality, you are constantly 🔂 adjusting.

Your physical state, your attention, and your emotional responses move together. When one shifts, the others follow.

Well-being becomes more understandable when you learn how to read these signals. Not ‘hypothetically’, but in the middle of your workday. You notice what is slightly off, and you know what to adjust before it builds up.

This series is for people who are done guessing what their body needs - and want to understand it properly.

We’ll go deeper than ‘stretch here’ or ‘relax there.’

You’ll learn how patterns build in the body, how stress shapes posture and movement, and how small, precise changes can shift how you feel - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

And yes - this is also part of a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) offering, so if you’re a teacher, you’ll walk away not just with experience, but with tools, language, and clarity you can bring into your own classes immediately.

If you’re not a teacher, even better. You’ll be in a room with thoughtful, curious, switched-on people who want more than surface-level wellness.

You can work for 8 hours straight and still produce low-quality thinking. That was again proved when I joined .brussels as a sponsor.

The shift is immediate 🚀

The quality of thinking improves. Discussions become more precise. People make decisions with less friction. This is not surprising.

Without proper breaks:

…and what looks like productivity is often just continuation without clarity.

I own quite a few pairs of high heels.

These days, I rarely wear them.

Since moving from an employee to a business owner, I spend much more time barefoot. So occasions to take the heels out of the wardrobe have become rare.

A Gala Dinner celebrating 35 years of Professional Women International together with International Women’s Day, was certainly one of them. 👠

Of course, the evening was marked by inspiring speeches from remarkable women. And no less inspiring conversations around the dinner table.

Leaving a corporate career to build her own business. Navigating entrepreneurship while raising a child. Moving countries and beginning life again from scratch. And these were only three women I spoke with at my table.

💭 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞? 💭

During her speech, the President of PWI .vercruysse said something that stayed with me:

‘𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧’.

Every change - a new career, a new country, a new path - begins with deciding to take a step. Sometimes in high heels. Sometimes barefoot.

And what precedes that? Letting go.

At the end of the evening, we were each given a deck of guidance cards from Barbara. No surprise, the card I picked said:

🌬️‘Let go of controlling, fearful and worrying thoughts… You are so much more.’

Dedicating this to all the courageous women who continue to show up, take risks, build new paths, and support one another.

‘‘I'm not flexible enough to do yoga... I feel aches and pain here and there... Come on, yoga is boring!.. You know, I just can’t relax...’’ Sounds familiar? Well, you are now in the right place!

My name is Irina, I teach different yoga style (Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin) all united under the umbrella ‘your unique body knows better what is best for you’. I teach at the studio and give corporate and private classes. I like motivating and helping practitioners of all levels to enjoy and feel safe and at ease with their practice.

When doing yoga, listening to your body is the most important thing. Do what you feel is right for you rather than looks fancy to others!
