As Honorary Secretary-General of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM), Major General (ret) Dr. Geert LAIRE, I was proud to represent our organization at DiMiMed Conference 2025 in Koblenz, Germany – a fantastic opportunity to learn from the best about medical military resilience, adaptability, and new ideas that honour past lessons.
The 13th edition took place in Koblenz, at the Rhein-Mosel-Halle, and it was a great success:
✅ Excellent and accessible location
✅ Larger exhibition than ever before
✅ Strong scientific sessions and valuable industry input
✅ And the chance to reconnect with colleagues and friends from around the world
Warm congratulations to all organizers,
and to co-chairmen Colonel (ret) Dr. Gerry Kerr (IRL) and Brig Gen (ret) Dr. Erwin Dhondt (BEL) for making this edition truly memorable.

13ème Congrès Régional Pan-Africain de Médecine Militaire

Aujourd’hui, nous sommes témoins de la cérémonie d’ouverture du 13ème Congrès Régional Pan-Africain de Médecine Militaire du CIMM, organisé par la Direction Générale de la Santé Militaire (Tunisie), sous l’égide du Comité International de Médecine Militaire (CIMM / ICMM).
La cérémonie d’ouverture, particulièrement inspirante, s’est tenue en présence du Ministre de la Défense Nationale, avec la participation de représentants de plus de 25 pays.
Pendant trois jours, des experts et représentants des services de santé militaire venus de différents pays échangeront autour d’un programme scientifique riche, mettant en avant les avancées et les innovations dans le domaine de la médecine militaire.

13th Pan-African Regional Congress of Military Medicine

Today, we are witnessing the opening ceremony of the 13th ICMM Pan-African Regional Congress of Military Medicine, organized by the General Directorate of Military Health (Tunisia),
under the aegis of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM).
The inspiring opening ceremony took place in the esteemed presence of the Minister of National Defense, with representatives from more than 25 countries in attendance.
Over the next three days, experts and representatives from military health services across the region will gather to share knowledge and discuss recent advances and innovations in military medicine.

Cours sur la réanimation préhospitalière en zone d'opérations –

Sous l'égide du Comité International de Médecine Militaire (CIMM), le Service de Santé des Forces Armées Royales du Royaume du Maroc a le plaisir d’annoncer l’organisation de ce cours, dans le cadre des activités des Groupes de Travail Régionaux (GTR) Panarabe et Maghrébin de Médecine Militaire.

📅 Dates : 10 – 15 novembre 2025
📍 Lieu : Rabat, Maroc

Ce cours vise à renforcer les compétences médicales en situations opérationnelles et à promouvoir les meilleures pratiques en réanimation préhospitalière.

Course on Prehospital Resuscitation in Operational Zones –

Under the aegis of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM), the Royal Armed Forces Health Service of the Kingdom of Morocco is pleased to announce the organization of this course, as part of the activities of the Pan-Arab and Maghreb Regional Working Groups (RWG) in Military Medicine.

📅 Dates: 10 – 15 November 2025
📍 Location: Rabat, Morocco

This course aims to strengthen medical skills in operational settings and promote best practices in prehospital resuscitation.

Following the preparatory visit, we are pleased to announce that excellent progress has been made in the preparations for the 7th Pan-Arab & Pan-Maghreb Regional Congresses on Military Medicine.

From 1 to 4 December 2025, Nouakchott (Mauritania) will host this major event, organized by the General Directorate of Health and Social Services, under the aegis of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM).

📌 Main theme: Military Medicine in 2025 – Realities and Challenges

🌍 A rich and dynamic scientific programme focused on key areas such as:

• Preparing Health Services for security threats
• Emerging diseases
• Innovative technologies
• Medical support for forces in overseas operations
