EFPA Joins REMESOS Project Kick-Off meeting in Brussels
On 23–24 October2025, EFPA participated in the in-person kick-off meeting of the EU-funded REMESOS – Resilient and Mentally Healthy Societies – project in Brussels. On the 24th, the meeting welcomed Hans Dubois who gave a brief presentation on the recent mental health work of Eurofound.
REMESOS aims to strengthen mental health across Europe through two core pillars: developing robust methods to measure population mental health and implementing community-based interventions such as Guided Functional Peer Support (GFP).
The three-year initiative, supported by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), brings together a consortium of 12 organisations from across Europe, spanning research, policy, practice, and civil society. EFPA will contribute to two Work Packages within the project, focusing on policy drafting and dissemination of materials.

15-year anniversary of the launch of the EuroPsy in Greece, organised by National EuroPsy Committee - NEC in Greece
The Association of Greek Psychologists (AGP) and the National EuroPsy Committee (NEC) Greece celebrated the 15-year anniversary of the launch of EuroPsy in Greece with a special event held at the AGP Headquarters in Athens on 11th October 2025. The gathering convened psychologists, AGP members, and EuroPsy holders, with approximately 50 participants present in person.
Ms Vassiliki Boukouvala, AGP President and Clinical Psychologist, opened the event with welcoming remarks.
Participants included Ms Rania Thraskia, Member of Parliament, Mental Health Representative of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement, and Clinical Psychologist; and Dr Michalis Chourdakis, Member of Parliament, Press Representative of the Movement for Democracy, and Professor at the School of Medicine and Ms Maria-Christina Kravvari, representing the Presidency of the Hellenic Government and serving as Secretary-General for Public Health, who noted that the government aims to further develop and improve legislation regulating the psychology profession.
Mr Thalis Papadakis, AGP Vice-President, Chair of National EuroPsy Committee - NEC Greece, and Clinical Psychologist, gave a presentation on the history and current status of EuroPsy in Greece.
Prof. Dr Conny Herbert Antoni, Chair of European EuroPsy Committee - EEC presented EuroPsy aims and structure as well as the underlying education, training and competence framework.
In the discussion participants expressed the need to move towards common European standards, when regulating the training and professional standards for psychologists and expressed their wish to adopt EuroPsy as the European standard.
