I hereby announce that I have registered to take part in the Bahrain 2016 Marathon, taking place on October 28th, as part of a 16 friends strong relay team (3 km each participant) named “Run the Research). Why am I making a fuss about having agreed to run 3km? Well, most of you knows that I have Multiple Sclerosis but probably not all of you knows that therapeutic options for patients with progressive MS are limited, and no regenerative treatment exists. Even though my capability of running has slowly deteriorated. I consider myself lucky as there are many others effected by this awful disease who are unable to walk, let alone run 3km. I am participating to raise awareness of the disease, proving that those of us with MS, can still remain active no matter what the result is. But I also run to raise funds for the research as without there is no hope to defeat this as many others diseases. Please post/share this page.
