Is this you?
• Do you find it difficult to speak your mind when you socialize?
• Do you feel tension, uneasiness & sweaty hands at the thought of speaking up?
• Are you self-conscious & have a fear of being judged when you speak?
• Do you feel like your anxiety and fear of speaking is affecting your studies or work performance? It is not allowing you to answer questions, engage in group discussions, or give a presentation or a speech.
• Is your anxiety affecting the quality of your relationships?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the questions, then this workshop is for you.
You are stronger than this and there are multiple tools and techniques that will help you regain confidence and find your voice when in speaking in public.

Imagine if you could
• Speak your mind in a heated discussion & do that with confidence.
• Know how to assert yourself when needed without being passive or aggressive.
• Respond from your heart right away & not after five days of overthinking.
• Feel comfortable receiving feedback & having someone disagree with you.
• Feel relaxed in your body & be in control of your gestures.
• Present yourself well in stressful situations such as a job interview, a presentation, or a business meeting.
• Enjoy the benefits of social opportunities instead of avoiding them.
• Know that all is well, and you’ve got this.

The workshop is most suitable for people with mild or moderate social anxiety. Shall the facilitator see that you need further support, they will advise you to seek extra help with one of our therapists.

One of the greatest needs we all have is the need to be heard - truly heard.
We all desire it no matter how old we are.
It is what builds natural self-confidence in children, sets the foundation for self-esteem and healthy relationships in adulthood and it opens the door for our inner gifts and talents to come out and be a contribution to the outside world.

One of the most beautiful gifts you can give to someone is hearing them.*
It is more precious than any advice, as most of the time the best solutions lie within. What is needed is a safe space where they can be heard.
*There is/might be a difference between listening and hearing.

Tools:
1. Listening to yourself:
What is it that I need?
What am I feeling right now?

2. When you need to be heard by someone, you may say:
Hi, I really need to talk. Are you in the space to listen to me/for me to vent? I just need to be heard for now. (For people who tend to give you advice right away, you may add: I might need some advice at the end, but at this point I just really need you to hold space for me and hear me. Is that OK with you?)

3. When someone is asking you to hear them:
After they finish speaking, you may ask them: “Would you like me to share my thoughts/feelings with you?” “Are you open for any ideas/reflections/suggestions/advice?”
Be ready to hear a “no” and know that you have already done your job. You listened! And that is more than enough.

Make sure you express appreciation in all cases. True listening is not a skill that all of us feel comfortable with at least at first. For many of us, it is a muscle we may need to develop as we calm our nervous system down, reassuring ourselves that our presence and attentive ears and hearts are more than enough! It may stem from the fact that we might have been conditioned/expected to react right away, to give advice, say something “smart”, help somehow, give a solution etc. Hence, “just” listening may be triggering/feel unsafe as our subconscious mind may be thinking that we are not doing enough.
We are. You are.

Bedtime story or a morning inspiration…
An amazing poem by Oriah „The Invitation” that moved every molecule of my being..

I learned about it from Christian Pankhurst at his workshop on his Heart IQ method a few months back. It is all about communication from heart to heart.. and so much more.

beyond amazing..
hope you enjoy it..

Barries & walls vs boundaries

When we get hurt and do not get a chance to healthily process the pain, we build a wall or a barrier around us to protect ourselves, so that it never happens again.

We do not fully realize that the wall blocks anything and everything: the good and the bad; the painful and the joyful. We stop feeling to a certain extent and become numb. That is not the nicest place to live from and it can be very lonely there.

Only when we allow ourselves to heal the pain, turn down the walls, and replace them with healthy boundaries, do we start to feel again, we can truly be safe again and navigate through life in a way that is meaningful and authentic.

If you would like to work on removing the walls and barriers you have built around yourself, book a session with me .bh.

If you would like to learn more about boundaries right away, I highly recommend Nedra Tawwab on Instagram and her book and workbook on boundaries.

Much love 😍

Most so called “bad habits” are nothing else but a coping mechanism you developed to hide the pain deep within.

Just a word of caution: I do not recommend using tapping to work on major deep trauma on your own. I suggest doing so with a specialist who will hold space for you and provide support.

Highly recommend an amazing app for tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) called Tapping Solutions. It has many tapping meditations that will walk you through a release and help you create new habits (new neurological connections in your brain). Just make sure you watch the introduction videos to understand how it works and tap gently.
