"The process of inspiration begins when the Higher Mind shoots an impulse of light and strikes a single nerve cell in the human brain. This is the first stage, the seed. This is weh-mu; this is the incoming form of meaning.

The impulse from the Higher Mind enters the human brain by way of the optic nerve neuron. Immediately the impulse produces weh-seh, known to mystics as divine longing. Now consciousness desires to create a form. Weh-seh is the point at which an intimate relationship is created between the Higher Mind and the human brain. We can now see ourselves doing a task. Weh-seh is stage two in the process of inspiration.

Paah-chu is stage three in the process, when consciousness gains the power of movement. Consciousness now has the potential to send out the form or forms that it has perceived and desires to create.

Consciousness sends out the message to the rest of the brain. In step four (wiii) all the constituent parts of the brain receive or come forth to bring assistance to what is to be created in that instant of time. At the fifth step of paah-nu all the constituent parts of the entire human psyche (the self) come together into a oneness with the Higher Mind. That oneness is now set to take a given action. Now the person can grasp the idea."

¿Te imaginas ser testigo del fin de tu mundo? Los franciscanos llegaron con la cruz, pero sus manos también portaban destrucción y emprendieron su propia cruzada, una campaña brutal para imponer un "nuevo universo de significados". No les interesaba el amor; querían la obediencia. Su primer objetivo fue la esfera pública, la destrucción simbólica de una cosmovisión milenaria.

Primero, destruyeron los espacios sagrados, fragmentando a los dioses en polvo. Luego, derribaron los templos, borrando los altares que habían sido el centro del mundo durante siglos. Pero la batalla final fue contra el espíritu. Confrontaron, humillaron y castigaron a los adeptos de las religiones originarias.

En 1560, los nobles de Huexotzingo, en una carta a la corona, describieron este terror con una precisión que hiela la sangre:

"La gente de muchos altepetl fue forzada y torturada [o] fueron colgados o quemados porque no querían renunciar a la idolatría," y por eso "recibieron el evangelio y la fé de forma involuntaria."

No fue una conversión; fue una imposición. No fue un regalo de fe; fue un acto de violencia. Una herida que marcó el alma de una nación entera que nos obliga a cuestionarnos si la fé de los mexicanos es una muestra de amor o un rastro de esclavitud espiritual.
